Blood moon - Acrylic Painting

About this piece

I created this piece after witnessing a blood moon—that haunting crimson orb hanging in the night sky. letting the colors bleed and merge into shadow, much like how desire can cloud our judgment. This painting speaks to addiction and the shadow self we all carry—those parts we don't always acknowledge. The blood moon became a mirror for internal struggles, for the pull of wanting something we know might consume us. I wanted the viewer to feel that magnetic draw, that tension between light and darkness.
